About the role
We are looking for an ambitious Audit Assistant Manager to join a growing independent accountancy practice. This hybrid position offers the chance to lead audit assignments while developing leadership skills across a diverse client portfolio.
Key responsibilities
- Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion for a varied client base.
- Plan, coordinate and review audit work, ensuring compliance with UK auditing standards.
- Manage on‑site and remote audit teams, reviewing statutory accounts and audit files.
- Identify risks, maintain strong client relationships and support business development initiatives.
- Mentor and supervise junior team members.
Required profile
- ACA or ACCA qualification (or equivalent experience).
- Previous experience in an accountancy practice audit environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of UK auditing and accounting standards.
- Experience supervising junior staff and reviewing audit work.
- Excellent communication, organisational abilities and attention to detail.
