Audit Assistant Manager – London

About the role

We are seeking an ACA or ACCA qualified Audit Assistant Manager to join a leading accountancy practice in London. You will work closely with Audit Managers and Partners, overseeing audit engagements from planning through to completion while developing strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the audit cycle.
• Lead audit teams through planning, fieldwork and finalisation of engagements.
• Monitor budgets, track performance and keep partners updated on progress.
• Mentor junior staff, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
• Assist in tendering for new business and maintain existing client relationships.
• Liaise with other departments to add value to client services.
• Uphold firm’s technical standards and answer technical queries confidently.

Required profile

• Qualified ACA, ACCA or recognised equivalent with UK practice experience.
• Proven experience managing audit engagements and teams.
• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, FRS 101 and FRS 102.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage time effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
