Audit Director – London – £100k‑£120k

About the role

We are partnering with a reputable Chartered Accountancy firm in the City of London to recruit an Audit Director. This senior, client‑facing position combines strategic leadership with high‑level advisory across a diverse portfolio of SMEs, OMBs and professional services clients.

Key responsibilities

• Take full directorial responsibility for the firm’s accounting and advisory services.
• Manage and develop a broad client portfolio, ensuring high‑quality financial reporting, compliance and commercial advice.
• Act as trusted advisor to business owners, boards and senior stakeholders.
• Mentor and coach junior staff, shaping the next generation of leaders.
• Contribute to firm‑wide strategy, governance, business development and operational improvement.
• Maintain best‑in‑class compliance with UK GAAP, regulatory requirements and internal quality standards.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified with at least 7 years post‑qualification experience in practice.
• Current General Practising Certificate (GPC).
• Proven experience managing a broad client portfolio and delivering advisory services.
• Commercial and strategic mindset with strong communication skills.
