Audit Manager – Complex Clients – Hybrid Working

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join a respected accountancy practice in Guildford. You will lead audit engagements for a varied portfolio of entrepreneurial businesses, regional companies, private‑equity backed firms, charities and international groups, gaining exposure to technically challenging work across multiple sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end audit assignments, from planning through to completion.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, building trusted relationships.
• Deliver audits for larger businesses, groups and technically complex organisations.
• Lead, coach and develop qualified staff and trainees.
• Oversee workflow, reviews and resource planning to ensure timely delivery.
• Support partners on complex audit and advisory projects.
• Identify opportunities to add value for clients and contribute to business development.

Required profile

• Qualified ACA, ACCA, ICAS, SAICA or equivalent.
• Recent experience within a UK accountancy practice.
• Proven ability to manage audit teams and client relationships.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS.

• Financial reporting under UK GAAP and IFRS.
