Audit Manager – External Audit, Leeds

About the role

Sharp Consultancy is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join its Leeds office. You will lead external audit engagements for a portfolio of listed (primarily AIM) and private clients, acting as the first point of contact for technical queries and providing strategic advice.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and review statutory audits to the highest quality standards.
• Manage billing, recoveries and negotiate audit fees.
• Coach and supervise graduate trainees and part‑qualified accountants.
• Support business development and marketing activities with existing clients.
• Maintain strong client relationships and address technical audit issues promptly.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, CA or ACCA) with eligibility to work in the UK.
• Extensive PLC statutory financial audit experience, preferably on AIM or main market listings.
• Proven project management capability to handle a sizable audit portfolio.
• Ambition to progress to senior management based on merit.
