Audit Manager

About the role

Pro-Finance, an established accountancy firm in the South West, is looking for an Audit Manager to lead its audit teams in Taunton and the surrounding region. The role combines client‑facing audit work with team leadership, business development and strategic input.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of audit clients with turnovers from £1 m to £100 m across diverse sectors.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted adviser on technical and commercial matters.
• Oversee all aspects of service delivery, including remuneration planning and corporate group structures.
• Support clients through corporate transactions such as acquisitions, disposals and fundraising.
• Contribute to business development by nurturing existing relationships and pursuing new audit and non‑audit opportunities.
• Lead, coach and develop a passionate audit team to ensure high‑quality service delivery.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CA qualified with post‑qualification experience.
• Up‑to‑date technical knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, ISAs and Companies Act legislation.
• Confident in business development and client engagement.
• Proactive self‑starter able to work independently and as part of a team.
