Audit Manager – Leeds

About the role

We are partnering with a long‑established independent accountancy firm in Leeds to find an ambitious Audit Manager. You will lead audit engagements, work closely with clients, and help develop junior staff while contributing to the firm’s growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage audit engagements from planning through to completion.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Review and finalise audit reports, providing constructive feedback to the team.
• Coordinate with clients to address queries and maintain clear communication.
• Mentor and support junior staff to develop their skills.
• Identify process‑improvement opportunities and implement solutions.
• Assist in developing client relationships and new business opportunities.
• Stay updated on changes in accounting and audit regulations.

Required profile

• Professional accounting qualification (ACA or ACCA).
• Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards and financial reporting.
• Proven experience managing audit engagements.
• Excellent organisational and leadership abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
