Audit Manager – Manchester

About the role

We are an established professional services firm seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join our Manchester office. The role involves leading audit engagements, preparing accounts and contributing to specialist projects for a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the audit process from planning through completion, ensuring high‑quality delivery.
• Monitor assignment progress, manage budgets and meet deadlines.
• Supervise, mentor and develop qualified staff and trainees.
• Liaise with the tax team and other service lines.
• Support and deliver special assignments and project work as required.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified.
• Previous audit experience within practice, either dedicated audit or general practice.
• Strong knowledge of FRS 102; exposure to IFRS is advantageous.
• Experience with special assignments or technical projects is beneficial.
• Leadership and coaching abilities.
