Audit Manager – Weybridge, Surrey

About the role

We are partnering with a respected firm of Chartered Accountants in Weybridge to recruit an Audit Manager. This role offers ownership of a client portfolio, hybrid working and a clear path for professional progression.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of audit clients from planning through to completion.
• Review complex statutory accounts, including group structures, using Caseware.
• Provide technical guidance on UK GAAP and UK ISAs.
• Review corporation tax computations as part of the wider compliance process.
• Lead audit planning, resourcing and workflow management.
• Monitor work‑in‑progress, budgets and recovery rates across assignments.
• Act as the primary contact for clients, advising on audit and accounting matters.
• Coach, mentor and develop junior team members.
• Identify efficiencies and process improvements.
• Support business development by spotting additional service opportunities.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified with solid experience in a UK accountancy practice.
• Currently operating at Assistant Manager or Manager level within audit.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and UK ISAs.
• Confident reviewing complex accounts and leading audit assignments.
• Comfortable managing client relationships and handling queries directly.
• Organised, commercially aware and able to manage multiple assignments.
