Audit Partner – £160k-£220k + Profit Share

About the role

We are partnering with a respected national accountancy practice to appoint an Audit Partner who will inherit an established audit portfolio worth over £1 million in annual fees, based in Hertfordshire. The role offers a partnership package, profit share and a clear succession path.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of a £1 m+ audit portfolio covering charities, academies, education providers and owner‑managed businesses.
• Act as the lead partner, providing strategic advice to boards, trustees and senior leadership teams.
• Develop the firm’s presence across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire through networking and relationship building.
• Coach and mentor directors and future Responsible Individuals.
• Maintain and enhance audit quality while preserving the collaborative office culture.
• Collaborate with fellow partners on succession planning and regional growth initiatives.

Required profile

• Current Audit Partner or experienced RI Director seeking equity in the near future.
• ACA or ACCA qualification (RI status non‑essential).
• Extensive experience leading audits for charities, not‑for‑profit organisations and owner‑managed businesses.
• Commercial mindset with proven business development capability.
• Existing network across London or the Home Counties is advantageous.
• Collaborative leadership style and genuine passion for developing people.
