About the role
We are seeking a part‑qualified auditor to join a leading chartered accountancy firm in Cambridge. The role offers a blend of audit planning, team leadership and hands‑on technical work, providing a solid platform to complete your qualifications and progress your career.
Key responsibilities
- Plan audit engagements and lead onsite teams (approximately 70% of time).
- Prepare accounts and draft tax computations (approximately 30% of time).
- Communicate with clients to address queries and refer complex issues to managers or partners.
- Review junior team members' work before final submission.
- Mentor junior staff and provide feedback on performance.
- Control assignment time against pre‑determined budgets.
Required profile
- Part‑qualified ACA or ACCA.
- Experience undertaking statutory audits in a UK accounting practice.
- Client‑facing experience.
- Knowledge of UK GAAP / FRS 102.
Required skills
- Proficiency with audit software (CaseWare).
- Strong command of Microsoft Office applications.
