Audit Senior – 50% Audit & 50% Accounts Advisory

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Audit Senior to join a top independent accountancy firm in Harrow. The role is split evenly between audit engagements and accounts advisory, allowing you to manage a diverse portfolio of medium‑ and large‑owner‑managed businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and execute client audits, including complex corporate audits, using computerised audit systems.
• Produce audit files for review by senior managers and directors.
• Plan smaller audit assignments, control budgets and meet client deadlines.
• Supervise and coach junior audit staff on‑site, reviewing work and setting objectives.
• Audit companies across sectors such as IT/Hi‑Tech, Consumer Services, Retail, Healthcare, Logistics and Legal Services.
• Prepare year‑end accounts, financial statements, management accounts and tax computations for companies, groups, partnerships and LLPs.
• Liaise directly with senior management of audit clients and external stakeholders.
• Ensure timely, profitable delivery of work in line with firm standards and submit accounts to Companies House.

Required profile

• Qualified ACA or ACCA auditor.
• Degree‑educated with extensive practice experience in an accountancy practice.
• Proven staff management skills.
• Access to a personal car.
