Audit Senior – 80% Audit, 20% Accounts (Reading)

About the role

We are partnering with a Top20 Accountancy Firm to recruit a qualified Audit Senior for their Thames Valley office in Reading. The role is split 80% audit and 20% accounts, managing a portfolio of owner‑managed businesses and leading a small team of junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Manage client audits and assist with complex corporate audits using computerised audit systems.
• Produce audit files for review by the Audit Manager/Director and ensure budgets and deadlines are met.
• Supervise junior and graduate staff, set objectives, review work and provide on‑site coaching.
• Prepare accounts, group accounts, partnerships, LLPs and related tax computations.
• Liaise directly with finance directors and external stakeholders, submitting filings to Companies House on time.

Required profile

• Qualified ACA or ACCA auditor, ideally degree‑educated.
• Extensive practice experience in audit and accounts, with 18‑36 months post‑qualification experience.
• Strong staff management skills and access to a personal car for client visits.
