Audit Senior – Accountancy Firm

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join a respected accountancy firm in Maidstone. The role involves leading audit engagements for a diverse client base, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the development of junior staff. This position offers a hybrid working model within a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage audit assignments across various sectors.
• Prepare and review audit documentation, financial statements and reports.
• Ensure audits meet relevant accounting and regulatory standards.
• Mentor and support junior team members throughout the audit process.
• Communicate audit findings and address client queries effectively.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend solutions.
• Collaborate with tax and other departments to deliver comprehensive client service.

Required profile

• Professional accounting qualification (ACA or ACCA).
• Proven experience leading audits within the accountancy sector.
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting and auditing standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
• Proactive problem‑solving attitude and teamwork orientation.
