Audit Senior – Chartered Accountancy Practice

About the role

Join a well‑established accountancy practice as an Audit Senior, managing a diverse client portfolio and leading audit assignments. You will work in a collaborative environment that values quality, development and client service.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and support a varied portfolio of audit and accounts clients.
• Lead audit fieldwork assignments and act as the on‑site senior representative.
• Prepare statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies under UK GAAP (FRS 102, FRS 105).
• Review junior team output and provide constructive feedback.
• Deliver audit planning, fieldwork and completion in line with UK auditing standards.
• Prepare corporation tax computations and support CT600 submissions.
• Support personal tax compliance, including preparation and filing of returns.
• Identify tax planning opportunities and contribute to advisory work.
• Liaise directly with clients to resolve queries and obtain information.
• Mentor and develop junior team members.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified, part‑qualified, or actively working towards qualification.
• Strong understanding of UK GAAP and UK auditing standards.
• Proven experience in audit fieldwork and accounts preparation.
