Audit Senior – Chartered Accountants (Durham)

We are seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join a leading chartered accountancy firm in Durham. You will lead audit engagements from planning through completion, develop junior staff and build direct client relationships, all while enjoying flexible working and a supportive career path.

Key responsibilities

• Lead audit assignments across a varied client portfolio, managing the full audit cycle.
• Prepare and review audit workpapers to ensure compliance with the highest technical standards.
• Supervise and coach junior team members on audit engagements.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the audit process.
• Communicate audit findings and recommendations clearly to managers and partners.
• Stay up‑to‑date with UK auditing standards and financial reporting developments.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified, or close to qualification.
• Strong audit background with experience in managing assignments.
• Right to work in the UK without restriction.
