Audit Senior – Chartered Accountants (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking an Audit Senior to join a respected firm of Chartered Accountants in Newcastle. This role is ideal for a newly qualified ACA or ACCA professional who wants to progress within a supportive, forward‑thinking practice.

Key responsibilities

• Lead audit fieldwork and perform substantive and analytical testing.
• Plan and execute audit assignments, ensuring full documentation for review.
• Prepare statutory financial statements under UK GAAP and IFRS.
• Identify risk areas and raise concerns to managers and partners.
• Build and maintain client relationships while delivering high‑quality service.
• Support, coach and mentor junior team members.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA (or equivalent) qualified.
• Experience working in audit within a UK accountancy practice.
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS.
• Collaborative team player with good communication skills.
• Enjoys building client relationships and supporting junior colleagues.
