Audit Senior – Chester

About the role

We are seeking an Audit Senior to join our award‑winning North West firm. You will work with a diverse client base from day one, benefitting from a partner‑led culture that values real responsibility and career progression.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and lead audit fieldwork across a varied portfolio of clients.
• Ensure audit work is completed to a high technical standard and within budget.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients during the audit process, building trust and identifying additional value‑adding opportunities.
• Support and coach junior team members on‑site, reviewing their work and providing constructive feedback.
• Stay up‑to‑date with auditing standards and regulatory requirements, assisting managers and partners with technical queries.

Required profile

• ACA / ACCA qualified or finalist with solid external audit experience.
• Background in a Big 4, Top 20 or mid‑tier practice.
• Confident in managing audit fieldwork and liaising directly with clients.
• Strong technical grounding with ambition to progress to Audit Manager.

Required skills

• Knowledge of UK auditing standards and regulatory requirements.
