Audit Senior – External Audit

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Audit Senior to join a leading UK accounting firm in Slough. The role is split 80% audit and 20% accounts, allowing you to manage a diverse portfolio of domestic and international clients while supporting partners on complex audit and accounting matters.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute non‑complex audit assignments for clients with turnover up to £50 million.
• Maintain responsibility for budgets, deadlines and profitability of engagements.
• Act as the main point of contact for UK‑based clients and subsidiaries of overseas groups.
• Supervise and coach junior audit staff on‑site, reviewing their work and setting objectives.
• Prepare and attend final audit review meetings with directors and clients.
• Ensure compliance with UK and international audit standards and internal processes.

Required profile

• Qualified ACA or ACCA auditor, preferably degree‑educated.
• Minimum 3 years of practical audit experience, including some staff management.
• Experience across a range of sectors such as manufacturing, IT, transport and business services.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word.
• Familiarity with audit software tools.
