Audit Senior – Hybrid (3 days office, 2 days home)

About the role

Pro-Finance, a Top 20 UK accountancy firm, is seeking a newly qualified or recently qualified auditor to join its growing Milton Keynes team. The role offers a hybrid working model – three days in a modern office and two days remote after a short qualifying period – and provides the chance to own audit engagements from start to finish while building strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver audits, producing memorandums and identifying key risk areas.
• Agree audit timelines directly with clients and manage audit schedules.
• Execute critical audit procedures on selected assignments.
• Delegate, supervise and review the work of junior and senior team members.
• Ensure audit files are complete and cleared before partner sign‑off.
• Monitor progress, flag potential issues early and meet all filing deadlines, including corporation tax and Companies House submissions.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or ICAS qualified.
• Newly qualified or up to one year post‑qualified experience in audit practice.
• Strong technical knowledge of audit delivery and supervisory experience.
• Commercial awareness with a client‑focused approach.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience with Sage, Alpha Tax, CaseWare and VPM/Central (advantageous).
