Audit Senior

About the role

As an Audit Senior at Cowgills, you will lead audit engagements from planning through completion, working closely with managers and senior team members. You will build strong client relationships while ensuring high‑quality audit delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead on‑site audits, manage resources and assign tasks with clear deadlines.
• Maintain audit quality and compliance with company policies and auditing standards.
• Supervise and mentor junior auditors, reviewing their work and providing feedback.
• Prepare on‑site audit findings reports, highlighting key risks and significant messages.
• Collaborate with other service lines to enhance the overall client experience.
• Contribute to team development and share knowledge across the practice.

Required profile

• Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA or equivalent).
• Proven experience in audit and accounts with solid knowledge of quality and regulatory standards.
• Familiarity with risk assessment and effective control measures.
• Ability to manage client relationships and support junior staff.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of accounting and auditing standards (FRS, IFRS).
