Audit Senior

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Audit Senior to join a dynamic audit team in Doncaster. You will lead audit engagements, mentor junior staff and deliver high‑quality audit services to a diverse client portfolio across multiple industries.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and supervise audit engagements from start to finish, ensuring compliance with UK auditing standards and regulatory requirements.
• Lead and mentor a team of auditors, providing technical guidance and supporting professional development.
• Develop audit strategies, risk assessments and tailored audit programmes for each client.
• Review internal controls, financial statements and supporting documentation to identify material misstatements.
• Communicate findings to senior management and clients, preparing detailed audit reports and recommendations.
• Maintain and enhance client relationships, identifying cross‑selling opportunities.
• Stay up‑to‑date with changes in IFRS, UK GAAP and regulatory updates.
• Support business development activities, including proposal preparation and pitch meetings.

Required profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of UK auditing standards, IFRS and UK GAAP.
• Minimum 4–6 years of audit experience in a public practice environment.
• Proven experience leading audit teams and managing client relationships.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.

Required skills

• Audit software such as CaseWare or IDEA.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
