Audit Senior

About the role

We are seeking an Audit Senior to join a growing accountancy firm in Sutton. The successful candidate will lead audit assignments from planning through to completion, delivering high‑quality work for a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion, ensuring all documentation is properly organised.
• Analyse accounting data, provide insights and recommendations to clients.
• Oversee compliance with regulatory, audit methodology and risk‑management requirements.
• Build and nurture strong relationships with new and existing clients, addressing queries promptly.
• Mentor and support junior team members, ensuring high‑quality deliverables.
• Collaborate with the team to deliver accurate and timely client files and audits.
• Prepare and review client documents, including accounts, tax filings, PAYE and VAT submissions.
• Plan workloads effectively to meet deadlines and prepare work for sign‑off.

Required profile

• Qualified ACCA or ACA (part‑qualified candidates will be considered).
• Previous audit experience within an accountancy practice.
• Excellent organisational, time‑management and attention‑to‑detail skills.
• Experience supervising and coaching junior staff.
• Dependable, professional and self‑motivated, able to work independently and collaboratively.
• Good general IT knowledge and familiarity with accounting and audit software.
• Excellent communication skills.
