Audit Senior

About the role

We are seeking an Audit Senior to join our North West team, delivering both internal and external audit services for a diverse client base. The role combines hands‑on audit work with business support tasks such as statutory accounts preparation and management reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Perform audits of small to medium companies, groups and sole traders, covering 60‑70% of the time.
• Prepare statutory accounts and management accounts for clients.
• Deliver business support services including bookkeeping reviews, VAT returns and tax assistance.
• Maintain and develop client relationships, identifying further service opportunities.
• Supervise and train junior staff, delegating work and reviewing their output.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years’ experience in audit or accounts.
• ACA or ACCA qualification.
• Understanding of corporate and business tax, personal tax and Mercia audit manuals is advantageous.
