Audit Senior – Liverpool

About the role

The Audit Senior will lead audits for a diverse client portfolio, including SMEs, charities and larger corporates, ensuring compliance and delivering high‑quality reports. Based in Liverpool, you will work within a supportive, partner‑led practice offering clear progression opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead audits from planning through to completion for a varied client portfolio.
• Prepare audit plans, perform risk assessments and ensure compliance with auditing standards.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members, reviewing work and providing feedback.
• Liaise directly with clients to resolve technical queries and build strong relationships.
• Work closely with managers and partners to deliver high‑quality service.
• Contribute to process improvements and uphold best practice in audit methodology.

Required profile

• ACA/ACCA qualified (or finalist) with strong audit experience in practice.
• Excellent knowledge of UK auditing standards and FRS 102.
• Experience in the professional services industry.
• Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and client‑facing abilities.
