Audit Senior – Qualified ACA/ACCA – Bristol

About the role

We are seeking a qualified ACA or ACCA Audit Senior to join a fast‑growing Top30 accountancy practice in Bristol. Reporting to an Audit Manager, you will lead audit assignments and support the accounts and tax function.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a variety of audit assignments across multiple industry sectors.
• Prepare audit files, undertake audit planning and guide junior staff during fieldwork.
• Ensure end‑to‑end audit assignments are completed to a high standard, on time and within budget.
• Supervise and review work performed by graduate‑level audit staff.
• Use accounting software to produce accurate reports for managers, directors and clients.
• Assist with corporate tax computations for small limited companies and partnerships.
• Collaborate with the Outsourcing team to finalise year‑end accounts under the Audit Director’s supervision.
• Maintain up‑to‑date technical audit knowledge and complete CPD requirements.
• Develop technical audit expertise through on‑the‑job training.

Required profile

• Qualified ACA or ACCA accountant.
• 2‑5+ years of external audit experience with SME/OMB‑sized corporate clients.
• Previous experience in a Top100 or regional accountancy firm.
• Proven ability to work in a team on multiple audit clients and meet strict deadlines.
