Audit Specialist – COO & Technology

About the role

The Audit Specialist – COO & Technology will support Quilter’s Internal Audit function by delivering IT and business audits across the internal audit plan. Working within the COO & Technology focus, you will help protect the organisation’s assets, reputation and sustainability while identifying opportunities to strengthen governance, risk management and internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and report on technology‑focused audits, including applications, infrastructure, cyber security, third‑party risk, data privacy and operational resilience.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand processes, key risks and control environments.
• Perform risk‑focused testing, root‑cause analysis and produce clear, practical audit findings and recommendations.
• Maintain communication with stakeholders throughout the audit lifecycle and build strong working relationships.
• Deliver audit work in line with methodology, timelines, budgets and quality standards.
• Conduct quarterly Issue Assurance reviews and support risk monitoring and audit planning.
• Review business management information such as financials, incidents and complaints.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in internal audit, preferably with a focus on technology or IT risk.
• Ability to assess and report on key risks, governance and control effectiveness.
• Strong analytical and communication skills to engage with business owners and senior management.

Required skills

• Understanding of IT audit frameworks and methodologies.
• Familiarity with cyber security principles, data privacy regulations and third‑party risk management.
