Auditor – Manage Client Portfolio

About the role

Our client, a growing accountancy practice in Lancaster, is seeking an experienced Auditor to lead audit engagements and manage a dedicated client portfolio. The role combines technical audit work with relationship building across diverse industries.

Key responsibilities

• Build and manage your own portfolio of clients
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships
• Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion
• Conduct audit fieldwork on‑site and remotely, with occasional overnight stays
• Prepare statutory accounts from client data
• Report completed audit files directly to the Responsible Individual (RI)
• Support and mentor junior team members

Required profile

• ACA / ACCA / CA qualified or Qualified by Experience (QBE)
• Strong working knowledge of UK GAAP
• Proven audit experience across a range of industries
• Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a similar role
• Full UK driving licence
• Background within a small or medium‑sized practice (desirable)
