About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Autism SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in Greenwich. The role starts in September 2026 and runs full‑time until July 2027, providing vital support to pupils with autism.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support for autistic pupils.
- Assist the classroom teacher in delivering inclusive lessons.
- Apply positive behaviour strategies to promote independence and engagement.
- Help maintain a calm, supportive classroom environment.
Required profile
- Experience working with children with SEN or autism, or a recent graduate with a strong interest in special education.
- Good understanding of autism and the varied support needs of pupils.
- Patience, empathy, resilience and a commitment to daily positive impact.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Required skills
What we offer
- Competitive daily rate of £100‑£120, based on experience.
- Full‑time, fixed‑term contract through July 2027.
