About the role
We are seeking a compassionate Autism Support Worker to join a special educational needs (SEN) primary school in Oxford. You will work directly with children aged 5‑11 who have Autism Spectrum Condition, helping them thrive academically and socially in a nurturing environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support for children with autism.
- Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs.
- Encourage communication, emotional regulation and social development.
- Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Required profile
- Compassionate, patient and nurturing attitude.
- Interest or background in SEN, psychology, child development or care.
- Ability to work with children aged 5‑11 years.
- Eagerness to learn and develop professional skills.
Required skills
- No specific technical skills required.
