Auto Electrician – Bus Depot (Keighley)

About the role
We are seeking a skilled Auto Electrician to join our busy bus depot in Keighley. You will work with complex vehicle electrical systems, support the transition to greener transport, and keep our fleet running safely and efficiently.
Key responsibilities
- Use advanced diagnostic equipment, multimeters and laptops to connect to the bus Engine Control Unit (ECU) and identify faults.
- Repair or replace alternators, starter motors, battery banks and faulty wiring in line with DVSA safety standards.
- Maintain multiplex wiring networks that control doors, lighting and engine components.
- Install and service passenger‑facing technology such as security cameras, telematics, passenger counting sensors and electronic ticketing machines.
Required profile
- NVQ or City & Guilds Level 3 in PCV/HGV engineering or equivalent.
- Ability to carry out preventative maintenance, major unit changes and roadside repairs.
- Commitment to delivering work to DVSA or higher standards.
