Automotive Engineering Learning Coach

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Engineering Learning Coach to join our team in Winsford. The successful candidate will use their industry background in engineering, manufacturing, HGV or trailer engineering to support apprentices as they develop the technical and professional skills required to become qualified engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of apprentices, providing regular coaching, guidance and progress reviews.
• Deliver engaging training sessions, workplace assessments and constructive feedback.
• Support apprentices with Maths and English development where required.
• Maintain accurate learner records, compliance documentation and Off-the-Job Training requirements.
• Prepare apprentices for the End-Point Assessment (EPA) and aim for the highest possible grades.
• Assess learner work, provide feedback and work with Internal Quality Assurers to uphold delivery standards.
• Build strong relationships with employers to promote learner progression and business growth.
• Produce performance reports against targets and KPIs.

Required profile

• Industry experience in engineering, manufacturing, HGV, trailer engineering or a related sector.
• Relevant vocational qualifications and/or evidence of continued professional development.
• Experience in coaching, mentoring, training or developing individuals in the workplace.
• Strong organisational abilities and capacity to manage a varied workload.
• Learner-centred approach with a passion for supporting achievement.

Required skills

• ICT proficiency.
• Confidence using digital learning platforms and systems.
