Automotive Parts Advisor – Exeter

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Parts Advisor to join a growing motor‑factor business in Exeter. You will be the first point of contact for customers seeking automotive components, providing advice, processing orders and supporting the branch’s daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Advise customers – in‑store or over the phone – on the correct automotive parts for their vehicles.
• Process and dispatch parts orders, ensuring timely delivery to customers.
• Upsell additional product ranges and promote special offers.
• Assist with general branch tasks, including stock handling and administrative duties.
• Work a Monday‑to‑Friday schedule (08:00‑17:00) with alternating Saturdays (08:00‑13:00).

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Parts Advisor or similar role within the automotive sector.
• Strong knowledge of automotive components and the ability to match parts to vehicle specifications.
• Excellent communication skills, both face‑to‑face and over the phone.
• Customer‑focused attitude with a drive to achieve sales targets.
