Automotive Service Advisor

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Automotive Service Advisor to join a family‑run automotive business in Bristol. You will be the first point of contact for customers, guiding them through the service journey and ensuring a high‑quality experience.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome customers and conduct vehicle check‑ins on arrival.
• Create and manage job cards using the internal CRM system.
• Gather customer requirements and relay them clearly to the workshop team.
• Provide regular updates to customers via phone, email and face‑to‑face.
• Prepare estimates, invoices and process payments.
• Explain completed work and any additional recommendations.
• Order parts and support stock management when required.
• Maintain accurate customer records and update internal systems.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Service Advisor, Customer Service or Service Administration professional.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport.
• Positive, proactive attitude and a genuine passion for customer service.
• Good IT confidence, especially with CRM or internal systems.
• Practical or mechanical understanding of vehicles is advantageous.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.
• Team player who can adapt and support different business areas.
• Full UK driving licence and own transport, or local residence.

What we offer

• Salary between £26,000 and £35,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
• Permanent, full‑time contract.
• Monday‑Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, plus one Saturday per three (paid).
• Ongoing training and a supportive, close‑knit team environment.
