Automotive Technical Trainer – Apprenticeship Programme

About the role

Join a leading automotive education provider as an Internal Automotive Technical Trainer, delivering a high‑quality Apprenticeship Programme at a state‑of‑the‑art facility in Bedford. You will shape the next generation of automotive technicians through engaging, standards‑compliant training.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging apprentice learning that meets manufacturer and apprenticeship standards.
• Monitor and manage apprentice progression toward End Point Assessment.
• Collaborate with trainers to deliver curriculum and manufacturer‑specific modules both face‑to‑face and virtually.
• Utilise the latest technology and Trainer Accreditation methodology for delivery.
• Ensure training meets programme objectives, maintaining quality and standardisation.
• Promote a positive culture and embody brand values.
• Guarantee compliance with Health & Safety, Safeguarding and Prevent policies.
• Act as an ambassador for the Apprenticeship Programme, showcasing best practice.

Required profile

• Qualified automotive technician at Level 3 (EHV certification desirable).
• Teaching qualification or experience (PTLLS, DTLLS, PGCE, TAP, Cert Ed or NVQ equivalent desirable).
• Full driving licence.
• Relevant Health & Safety qualification (desirable).
• Recent manufacturer workshop experience (desirable).
• Strong awareness of new technical innovations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft software packages.
• Passion for training and developing others.
