Automotive Technician / Mechanic – HGV – Workshop Based (Newcastle)

About the role

Enterprise Mobility is seeking a skilled HGV Automotive Technician/Mechanic to join its Flex‑E‑Rent workshop team in Newcastle. You will work on a diverse fleet of heavy vehicles, ensuring they are safe, road‑worthy and ready for customer use.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain and repair a wide range of HGVs and specialist vehicles.
• Work with top brands such as Mercedes, Iveco and Ford.
• Ensure all vehicles meet safety and quality standards.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT examinations.
• Operate primarily from the workshop with mobile capability to attend breakdowns as required.
• Collaborate with a skilled, friendly team to deliver high‑quality service.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• Proven experience working with HGVs.
• Full Class 2 UK/Ireland/EU manual driving licence.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented approach and a passion for vehicle maintenance.

Required skills

• Heavy vehicle diagnostic and repair techniques.
• Knowledge of Mercedes, Iveco and Ford heavy‑vehicle systems.
• MOT preparation procedures.
• Compliance with safety and quality standards.
