AV Live Event Technical Project Manager

About the role

This position is a hands‑on technical leadership role for live‑event productions. You will own the full delivery lifecycle, from the initial client brief through to the on‑site show, ensuring every technical element meets the creative vision and operational deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of end‑to‑end live‑event delivery.
• Act as the on‑site technical lead across lighting, audio and video disciplines.
• Translate creative concepts into buildable technical solutions and detailed specifications.
• Design systems, select exact equipment (brands/models) and produce quotes, budgets and technical drawings.
• Lead and coordinate multi‑disciplinary technical teams, managing logistics, schedules and resources.
• Troubleshoot live issues in real time while maintaining composure under pressure.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients.

Required profile

• Proven experience in live‑event production with strong expertise in at least one of lighting, audio or video.
• Demonstrated ability to design and deliver technical solutions from concept to live execution.
• Experience leading on‑site teams and managing project budgets and quotations.
• Comfort producing technical drawings, specifications and health‑and‑safety documentation.
• Excellent client‑facing communication and commercial awareness.

Required skills

• AutoCAD (preferred for technical drawings).
