AV Support Technician – Independent School

About the role

The school is looking for an enthusiastic AV Support Technician to provide first‑line audiovisual assistance across classrooms, halls and meeting spaces. This temporary full‑time position offers hands‑on experience in a vibrant educational setting.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first‑line AV support to teaching and support staff.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with projectors, displays, sound systems and presentation technology.
• Set up and operate AV equipment for events, assemblies and meetings.
• Perform routine equipment checks and basic maintenance.
• Escalate complex technical problems to senior IT or facilities teams.
• Maintain a professional, customer‑focused service attitude.

Required profile

• Some experience in AV support, IT support or events technology.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple requests in a busy environment.
• Reliable, adaptable and eager to learn.
