AVP Project Support – Pensions Change (18‑Month Contract)

About the role
This 18‑month contract position supports the delivery of a pensions change programme within Barclays. Reporting to senior leadership, the AVP will manage a single, clearly defined project, ensuring it is completed on time, within scope and on budget.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the end‑to‑end delivery of the assigned pensions project, controlling scope, schedule and budget.
- Coordinate day‑to‑day activities of the project team, allocating resources and monitoring progress.
- Maintain clear communication with project stakeholders, managing expectations and reporting status.
- Identify, assess and mitigate project‑specific risks and issues.
- Manage changes to scope, timeline or resources, ensuring proper approval and documentation.
- Track financial performance of the project against the allocated budget.
Required profile
- Proven experience managing projects of similar size and complexity, preferably in a financial services environment.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a focus on delivering results.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a project team and work collaboratively across functions.
