AVP Transaction Management – Private Equity (2‑Year Contract)

About the role

GIC, one of the world’s largest sovereign wealth funds, is seeking an Assistant Vice President to join its Transaction Management team within the Private Equity division. The role is based in London and focuses on supporting the end‑to‑end closing of private‑equity investments across multiple strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Support deal‑closing processes in line with the Transaction Management service menu.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely execution, notarisation, exchange and tracking of pre‑deal and investment documentation.
• Maintain and update the status of closing tasks in the internal digital workflow platform and ensure proper document retention.
• Serve as the middle‑office point of contact for legal counsels, custodians and KYC/AML agents.
• Enhance and automate operational processes to improve efficiency and scalability.
• Provide guidance on the application of processes and policies and mentor junior team members.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• Understanding of alternative investment structures and legal documentation.
• Effective communication with both internal teams and external counterparties.
• Ability to manage multiple deals under tight timelines.
