AVP/VP Equities Trader – Global Trading Unit

About the role

GIC’s Global Trading Unit (GTU) is seeking an AVP/VP Equities Trader to join its London team. You will work closely with portfolio managers to translate investment ideas into precise equity trades, manage liquidity, and support the overall performance of the Total Portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Execute equity trades across global markets, ensuring best execution and optimal pricing.
• Collaborate with portfolio management and the Portfolio Execution & Solutions Group to align trading strategies with investment objectives.
• Monitor and manage total portfolio liquidity and asset utilisation.
• Provide market intelligence and actionable insights to enhance trading decisions.
• Participate in the development of systematic portfolio solutions and risk‑management techniques.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of financial instruments, equity markets and trading mechanics.
• Excellent analytical abilities and quantitative mindset.
• Proven experience in equities trading within an institutional or sovereign‑wealth‑fund environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a highly collaborative, data‑driven team.
