Azure DevOps Engineer – Up to £60k (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for an Azure DevOps Engineer to join a leading IT consultancy’s remote team. The successful candidate will design, build and operate Azure‑based platforms, ensuring they are secure, reliable and cost‑effective. You will work closely with development and operations teams to deliver high‑quality solutions for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and improve Azure production and non‑production environments, covering compute, networking, storage, databases, security and IAM.
• Design, implement and maintain complex CI/CD pipelines using IaC tools such as Terraform, Bicep and ARM templates.
• Support engineering teams in building highly available, scalable solutions and manage platform governance.
• Automate deployment, configuration and monitoring processes, and continuously optimise performance and capacity.
• Participate in Azure migration projects, managed‑service onboarding and incident management, including root‑cause analysis and post‑mortem reporting.
• Provide guidance and training on SRE and DevOps best practices to colleagues.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with a broad range of Azure services in both production and non‑production settings.
• Strong understanding of DevOps/SRE principles, continuous delivery and infrastructure‑as‑code.
• Proven ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels and communicate technical concepts clearly.
• Self‑motivated, comfortable with complexity and eager to stay up‑to‑date with emerging technologies.
