Azure Infrastructure Engineer – 12‑month Fixed‑Term Contract

About the role

Isio is seeking an experienced Azure Infrastructure Engineer for a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. The role will be based in Birmingham with a hybrid work style, supporting multiple Azure tenants and the broader M365 stack.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and implement new solutions within Isio’s Azure tenants, handling alerts, virtual machines and resource provisioning.
• Develop and maintain automation tooling to streamline deployments and recurring tasks.
• Implement and manage monitoring tools such as DataDog to report on performance and availability.
• Support the M365 environment, including Entra ID, Intune, Defender and related services.
• Improve security posture by applying best‑practice configurations and assisting with audit documentation.
• Participate in small to large projects delivering new solutions and enhancements.
• Act as an escalation point for the service desk, identifying root causes of incidents.
• Document all implemented resources in Confluence or an equivalent knowledge base.

Required profile

• Strong proven knowledge of Azure services (Entra ID, App Services, Storage, Backups, Conditional Access, Front Door, Load Balancers).
• Experience administering the O365 suite, Intune and Defender for Endpoint.
• Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) hosting services.
• Hands‑on experience with automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Power Automate, Tines, N8N, Zapier).
• Proficiency using Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD platforms, including ARM/Bicep templates and YAML pipelines.
• Experience with cloud‑native/serverless components, containerisation and App Service Plans.
• Solid background in system monitoring and troubleshooting.
