B1.3 Licensed Engineer – 7 on 7 off shift

About the role

The B1.3 Licensed Engineer works on a 7‑on‑7‑off shift based at Oxford, providing line maintenance and defect rectification for Airbus Helicopters customers. The role requires a Part‑66 B1.3 licence and involves travelling to customer sites with a company van to ensure safe aircraft operation.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance inspections and repairs as directed by Maintenance Supervisors.
• Complete maintenance on airframe structure, power‑plant, mechanical and electrical systems.
• Replace and test avionic line‑replaceable units to verify serviceability.
• Supervise maintenance fitters and certify their work.
• Assist with daily hangar operations, including aircraft movement and housekeeping.

Required profile

• Part‑66 B1.3 licence (Turbine Rotorcraft) and clean UK driving licence.
• Thorough knowledge of engine and airframe systems and specialised test equipment.
• Ability to fault‑find and troubleshoot independently or within a team.
• Familiarity with UK CAA Part 145, Part M and UK ANO regulations.
• Understanding of Airbus Helicopters products and documentation.

Required skills

• Operation of specialised aircraft test equipment.
• Fault finding and troubleshooting of rotorcraft systems.
• Avionic line‑replaceable unit testing and certification.
• Compliance with UK CAA Part 145, Part M and UK ANO standards.
• Clean UK driving licence and ability to operate a company van.
