B2 Licensed Aircraft Engineer – Base Maintenance

About the role

AirX Jet Support, a UK CAA and EASA approved Maintenance Repair Organisation, is looking for a B2 Licensed Aircraft Engineer to supervise mechanics and certify scheduled maintenance on its CL‑600, EMB‑135 and ERJ‑190 fleet. The position is based at the London Stansted Diamond Hangar and operates on a 5‑5‑4 rotational shift pattern.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise a team of mechanics performing base maintenance on aircraft.
• Inspect and certify scheduled maintenance, defect rectification, modifications, repairs and functional tests on avionic and electrical systems.
• Plan and allocate daily tasks to keep the production plan on schedule.
• Ensure accurate completion of technical logbooks, job cards, work packages and handovers.
• Maintain correct use of the MRO user system and uphold high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year exercising certification privileges in a line or base maintenance environment.
• At least 6 months recent experience on the type(s) and ability to hold relevant company authorisations.
• Valid UK CAA and/or EASA Category B2 Part 66 licence with type rating on CL‑600, EMB‑135 or ERJ‑190.
• Legal right to work in the UK and a clean UK driving licence.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Veryon or other Maintenance Management Systems.
• Strong knowledge of Part 145 regulations.
• Competence in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Experience using MRO user systems for maintenance activities.
