B2 Licensed Aircraft Engineer – RAF Valley

About the role

The B2 Licensed Engineer will support the Military Flying Training System (MFTS) operation at RAF Valley, delivering serviceable helicopters for daily flying programmes. Reporting to the Valley Maintenance Manager, you will ensure compliance with aviation regulations and maintain high safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver serviceable aircraft to meet daily flight schedules.
• Perform maintenance inspections, repairs, and certifications as directed.
• Supervise maintenance fitters and certify their work.
• Assist with hangar operations, aircraft movement and housekeeping.
• Complete electrical and avionics system maintenance.

Required profile

• Working knowledge of UK CAA regulations (Part 145, Part CAMO, UK ANOT).
• Thorough knowledge of electrical and avionics systems.
• Experience in an aviation engineering environment.
• Strong teamwork, communication and leadership abilities.

Required skills

• Valid UK CAA Part 66 B2 Licence.
• Knowledge of UK CAA Part 145 regulations.
• Knowledge of UK CAA Part CAMO regulations.
• Knowledge of UK ANOT regulations.
• Electrical systems expertise.
• Avionics systems expertise.
