B2 Licensed Engineer – Line Maintenance (7 on/7 off)

About the role

This position is based at Airbus Helicopters UK’s Oxford site and involves line maintenance of civil and military helicopters. The role requires high mobility, with a company van provided for daily deployments to customer locations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance inspections and rectifications on electrical and avionics systems using specialised test equipment.
• Complete airframe, power‑plant, mechanical and electrical maintenance, including replacement of avionic line‑replaceable units.
• Supervise maintenance fitters, certify their work and ensure compliance with UK CAA Part 145, Part M and ANO requirements.
• Assist with day‑to‑day hangar operations, aircraft movement and general housekeeping.

Required profile

• Thorough knowledge of engine and airframe systems and the ability to fault‑find independently or within a team.
• Understanding of Airbus Helicopters products, documentation and UK aviation regulations.
• Flexibility to meet customer requirements and willingness to work both on‑site and on the road.
• Strong interpersonal skills and professional presentation at all times.

Required skills

• UK CAA Part 66 B2 Licence (preferred).
• Knowledge of UK CAA Part 145, Part M and ANO requirements.
• Operation of specialised test equipment for engine, airframe and avionics systems.
• Clean UK driving licence.
• Type ratings on AS350, EC130, EC135, H135, EC145, H145, H160 (desirable).
