B2B PR Account Manager – Manchester or Reading

About the role

We are seeking a B2B PR Account Manager to join our award‑winning boutique agency in the North West. The role will support our Manchester or Reading office, managing a portfolio of technology, sustainability and food & drink clients and delivering high‑impact media campaigns.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, taking day‑to‑day ownership of account success.
• Plan, execute and monitor strategic and tactical PR activities, including media outreach, content creation and social media scheduling.
• Track media coverage, produce status reports and briefing documents for clients and internal teams.
• Build and nurture relationships with sector journalists, influencers and third‑party suppliers.
• Support junior staff, share knowledge and contribute to internal development initiatives.
• Assist the new‑business programme by identifying upsell opportunities and contributing to pitch presentations.

Required profile

• Minimum 18 months experience in a B2B communications or PR agency.
• Proven ability to manage traditional and digital media campaigns.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management skills.
• Strong written communication with the ability to adapt tone across sectors.
• Commercial awareness and a proactive, results‑driven attitude.

Required skills

• Experience with media monitoring and coverage reporting tools.
• Proficiency in creating press releases, articles and other PR copy.
• Ability to brief and manage external suppliers and partners.
