B2B Sales Executive – Cold Calling & Lead Generation

About the role

The Portfolio Group is seeking a dynamic B2B Sales Executive to join its Glasgow team. You will be the first point of contact with prospective business clients, using cold‑calling and outbound strategies to generate qualified leads and set appointments for Business Development Managers.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct cold calls and send outreach emails to identify potential business customers.
• Qualify leads based on fit and potential value, adding them to the sales pipeline.
• Schedule meetings and product demonstrations for Business Development Managers.
• Maintain accurate records of activities and prospects in the CRM system.
• Collaborate with the sales team to refine outreach tactics and share market insights.
• Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to uncover new opportunities.
• Provide regular performance reports to management.

Required profile

• Proven experience in B2B sales, especially cold calling and outbound lead generation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence decision‑makers.
• Self‑motivated, target‑driven and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Detail‑oriented with solid organisational abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or HubSpot.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

What we offer

• Base salary of £25,000‑£27,000 per year.
• On‑target earnings up to £40,000 with performance‑based bonuses.
