Baby Room Lead – Early Years Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Early Years professional to lead our baby room, caring for children aged 0‑2 years. You will create a nurturing, stimulating environment where the youngest learners can thrive while guiding a dedicated team of caregivers.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operation of the baby room, ensuring high standards of care, safety and learning.
• Plan and deliver engaging activities aligned with the EYFS framework.
• Monitor children’s development, wellbeing and progress, maintaining accurate records.
• Ensure safeguarding, health & safety and nursery policies are consistently applied.
• Build strong partnerships with parents and carers.
• Mentor and support team members, fostering a positive culture.

Required profile

• Level 3 Early Years qualification (or higher).
• Previous experience working in a nursery baby room.
• Proven experience leading or supervising a team.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding requirements.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Genuine passion for early childhood development.
